This weekend, the Western Michigan Stallions host the Eastern Michigan Eagles for hockey action at Wings West Friday and Saturday evening.   Puck drop is set for around roughly 6:15 p.m. Friday and 5:30 p.m. Saturday and you can listen to Saturday’s game live online via the Slocum Sports Network.

The Stallions enter the series at 5-3-0 overall, splitting in their road trip to Buffalo last weekend with a 3-2 overtime win and a 7-0 loss.   The Eagles are 5-2-0 thus far and split a home-and-home with Aquinas last weekend, winning 4-3 and losing 1-0.

Last season, the Stallions won all four meetings over EMU, 7-3 and 5-4 on the road, 6-3 and 7-3 at home.   WMU also went 4-0 over EMU the previous two seasons, with the last Eagle victory over the Stallions coming on December 6, 2013.   However, the Eagles are significantly improved, already topping their three total wins from last season.

Both games this weekend are at Wings West in Kalamazoo with puck drop scheduled for around roughly 6:15 p.m. Friday and 5:30 p.m. Saturday.   You can listen to Saturday’s contest online live via the Slocum Sports Network.
