The Kalamazoo College baseball team split their home finale Saturday to Calvin College, falling to the Knights 3-2 in game one (seven innings), but winning the second game 9-3. Along with Friday’s two road wins, the Hornets take the four-game series and end the regular season with a record of 28-12, second in the MIAA at 20-8. Calvin ends at 19-21 and 13-15 in MIAA play, which will be enough for fourth and the final conference tournament spot.
The Knights travel to regular-season champion Adrian Wednesday for the first round of the MIAA tournament, start time TBA. The Hornets host third-seed Hope Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a game that can be heard on the Slocum Sports Network.
