Kalamazoo Valley has secured a spot in the top three of the MCCAA Western Conference and a trip to the NJCAA Region XII tournament. At 13-7 in the West (18-17 overall), the Cougars sit third, two games behind Grand Rapids (15-5). Grand Rapids ends their season with four games over the weekend against first place Kellogg (19-1), giving Kalamazoo Valley a chance to get to second if Grand Rapids falters against Kellogg and if the Cougars take care of the Vikings.
The first tiebreaker is head-to-head, with the Cougars and Grand Rapids splitting their four games. The second tiebreaker is record against the top team, with the Cougars going 1-3 against Kellogg and Grand Rapids to be decided. As for Glen Oaks, they sit at sixth in the Western Conference at 5-15 with an overall record of 12-21.
