The Kalamazoo College softball team split Saturday’s home games with Adrian College, losing to the Bulldogs 7-5, then defeating them 5-1. Full stats can be found here.
Adrian took game one 7-5, getting three runs in the fourth and sixth innings and one in the seventh. Kalamazoo scored two in the fourth on an Erin DuRoss home run and three in the fifth. The Bulldogs finished with 13 hits to seven for the Hornets.
The second game went to Kalamazoo 5-1, with DuRoss pitching four innings with one run allowed, followed by three shutout innings from Liv Knivila. The offensive highlight was a three-RBI double by Briana Huisken in the fifth.
Listen back to both games below. The Hornets are 11-15 overall and 2-8 in MIAA play with Adrian to 9-19 overall and 3-5 in MIAA play. Kalamazoo returns to action at Olivet Thursday, while Adrian hosts Defiance Monday.
